Hello, I'm Anouk E.

Anouk Erni has been mountain guiding for over 10 years. She started climbing at crags outside Los Angeles​,​ quickly expanding her resume to include alpine objectives in the Eastern Sierra. Her guiding career was launched in the Pacific Northwest​,​ working on Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker. Anouk returned to the Eastern Sierra - where she has called home ever since - in 2018 to guide year round. When she’s not working in California​,​ Anouk is in Europe recreating in the Swiss Alps​,​ where her family originates and lives​,​ or she is guiding ski touring trips in Norway. Anouk’s focus is to share her passion and love for the mountains with others​,​ and to teach budding climbers and mountaineers the tools to stay safe in their future endeavors. As a guide​,​ she finds the biggest reward is teaching others the skills to explore the mountains on their own​,​ and she hopes this will provide a domino effect of education​,​ principles​,​ and ethics in the outdoor community.
