Dive into the iconic Monterey submarine canyon in search of deep-water pelagic species that congregate in this specific area. Sightings can include mola molas, huge lingcod​/​cabezons, comb jellies and more! We’ll also explore one of the most lush kelp forests and overhead canopies in the area, where sunlight penetrates the fronds for that classic Monterey kelp cathedral effect. This experience consists of 2 dives and concludes with a beach cook out where we’ll peruse ID books and debrief over food​/​drinks.

Meeting Point

We’ll meet at our local partner dive shop to gear up and from there head to the dive site. After our dives we’ll have lunch at the beach.

Licenses Required?

Open water to professional level SCUBA divers are encouraged to join. Dive profile is based on experience level and ocean conditions.
